Dr. Amitava Adak is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, India. He completed his B.Sc. in Physics from Jadavpur University, West Bengal in 2009. Thereafter, he joined TIFR, Mumbai for M.Sc. and PhD. He got the first opportunity there to work in the area of very high intensity femtosecond laser matter interaction with Prof. G. Ravindra Kumar. In 2016 he joined JILA, University of Colorado at Boulder, USA as a Research Associate and worked at the frontier of High Harmonic Generation. He came back to India in 2020 and joined IIT (ISM) Dhanbad as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics.

Jyotsna Patra

PhD student

Jyotsna did her Integrated MSc in physics from NIT ROURKELA, India. She has joined the group in 2022. She is working on intense short pulse laser-plasma interactions, pulsed laser ablation of solid inside liquid, green synthesis of nanoparticles and its applications.

Subhankar Nanda

PhD student

Subhankar did his Integrated MSc in physics from CET, BHUBANESWAR, INDIA. He has joined the group in 2023 January. His broad research interest is on intense short pulse laser-matter interaction.
